The clinical cancer research programs at the NCT form the basis of interdisciplinary patient care. They are entity-oriented in design and combine excellent patient care with innovative research at Heidelberg University Hospital, the DKFZ and national and international networks. The aim is the development and application of innovative diagnostics and treatment options in clinical studies.

Translational Cancer Research Programs
The NCT translational cancer research programs in the areas of clinical discovery, molecular diagnostics, immunotherapy, integrative radiation oncology, as well as cancer prevention, early detection and outcomes altogether follow a highly innovative program of individualized cancer medicine. The objective is to cross academic boundaries and develop interdisciplinary tailor-made precise diagnostic and treatment procedures for each individual patient.
