Head of Nursing NCT:
In this way, patients of the NCT can be cared for by the palliative medical outpatient clinic as a fixed consultation hour in the NCT Heidelberg as well as by short-term, low-threshold visits within the framework of the existing appointments in the day clinics at NCT Heidelberg. There is a close connection with the other counseling services at NCT (social services, psycho-oncology, nutritional, physical activity, ethics consultation, etc.).
In this way, comprehensive, multi-professional, early and cross-sector support can be provided even in particularly stressful situations.
Advice from palliative care professionals, participation in tumor boards, transfer to home care by the Intermediate Care Service or multi-professional treatment of inpatients in all departments of the UKHD as part of a palliative care treatment by a palliative service.
