Every cancer is different, as are the people affected by cancer.
We believe that treatment of cancer patients likewise has to be different. And we believe that people who are serious about cancer treatment should do translational cancer research.
Translational Medical Oncology
Our division engages in all aspects of the translational research process, including one of the most comprehensive cancer molecular diagnostics programs nationwide, clinically guided exploratory research projects in our laboratories, and the development and implementation of innovative clinical trials.
Our ambition is to improve the way we practice oncology. To change it towards a more rational and personalized approach.
We know that this change will neither be accomplished by a single department nor by a single center, or even within a single country. It will be accomplished by the entire community of cancer researchers, and we are, therefore, heavily engaged in various networks of people who are serious about cancer treatment and research. To contribute to scientific progress. To develop better cancer therapies.
And finally, to make a difference.
