November 8 is World Day for Children of Parents with Cancer. When a mother or father is diagnosed with cancer, it is a burden for all family members. The ANKKER counseling service now offers families with a parent with cancer a special break: they can leave everyday life behind them for a weekend. The program for young and old participants is wide-ranging. In addition to many sporting activities (such as swimming, archery or air field hockey), various relaxation options and creative workshops are also offered. There will be program points for the whole family, with some offers aimed specifically at certain age groups. There is also plenty of space and time to meet, talk and share experiences. On this weekend, parents and children should have fun together, recharge their batteries and take away strengthening impulses for the family.
Date: Friday, 10.5. to Saturday, 11.5.2024.
Location: Seminar hotel of the Manfred Sauer Foundation, 74931 Lobbach (incl. accommodation and full board)
Families only have to pay a contribution towards expenses of €50 per family. The number of participants is limited.
