Clinical Cancer Research Programs

NCT’s Clinical Cancer Research Programs (CPs) are each defined by a tumor entity and assure a campus-wide synergy between groups of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and the Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD), with the common goal of delivering precision oncology.

To facilitate and accelerate the translation of pre-clinical findings into clinical trials and ultimately into clinical practice, collaborations between basic, pre-clinical, translational, and clinical units are continuously expanded and result in significant trial activities.

CPs contribute to realizing a number of the 10 principles of the NCT, which include most importantly the mission of life without cancer, and as a basis for this mission, scientific and clinical excellence, strong interdisciplinary collaborations, and a focus on patients to find tailored, cutting-edge, and comprehensive solutions.
