Amir Abdollahi New Managing Director at NCT Heidelberg

Amir Abdollahi has been newly appointed as Managing Director at the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg. He has coordinated translational radiation oncology research at the site and at the Heidelberg Ion Beam Therapy Center (HIT) of Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) for many years. Amir Abdollahi holds the Chair of Translational Radiooncology associated with the German Consortium for Translational Cancer Research (DKTK) and heads the respective Clinical Cooperation Unit at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ).

Amir Abdollahi succeeds Jürgen Debus, who has been Managing Director at the NCT Heidelberg since 2009 and has significantly contributed to its success. Jürgen Debus says: "I am delighted that with Amir Abdollahi, a proven expert in the field of translational research has been recruited for the NCT Heidelberg."

Amir Abdollahi says: "I thank you for the trust you have shown in me.  I would like to continue the excellent work of Jürgen Debus at the NCT Heidelberg Board of Directors and contribute to the further development of multimodal therapies while making them accessible to more patients at the NCT Heidelberg."
