Time out together for families with parents affected by cancer

When a parent is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family faces significant emotional and practical challenges. The ANKKER counseling program (offering support for children of parents with cancer) provides affected families with a valuable opportunity to regenerate and bond together: a break from everyday life to gain some perspective, recharge their batteries, and create valuable shared experiences.

The family break on June 19-20, 2026, in Lobbach offers a wide range of activities for young and old. The program includes:

Sports & exercise:

  • Swimming pool, archery, air hockey, and other sporting activities.

Rest & relaxation:

  • Saunas, relaxation room, and natural outdoor area with a pond, chicken coop, and plenty of green space.

Creativity & workshops:

  • Joint design, painting, and creative projects.

Exchange & encounter:

  • Opportunity to talk to other affected people and get inspiration for everyday family life

The offer combines activities for the whole family with age-appropriate programs for different groups. The focus is on shared moments that give families strength and joie de vivre.
