Lecture series "Medizin am Abend" (Medicine in the Evening): Pinktober – Together Against Breast Cancer

In the next lecture in the “Medizin am Abend” series on October 16, Andreas Schneeweiss, Head of Gynecological Oncology, NCT Heidelberg, UKHD, German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), and Laura Michel, Attending Physician in Medical Oncology, NCT Heidelberg, UKHD, will talk about the current state of breast cancer therapy. They will classify scientific findings and answer questions such as: Where do we stand today in terms of therapy? What role does personalized medicine play? What challenges will medicine, research, and care face in the future?

“Medizin am Abend” is a collaboration between Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) and the Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung and takes place live in the large lecture hall of the Kopfklinik, Im Neuenheimer Feld 400, 69120 Heidelberg. After the lecture, there will be an opportunity for discussion and further exchange. Refreshments will be provided. Admission is free and registration is not required. However, for safety reasons, only a certain number of people can be admitted to the lecture hall.

This edition of “Medizin am Abend” is part of the Pinktober campaign organized by Heidelberg University Hospital, the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg, and the Bergstraße Breast Center (BZB). The aim of the campaign is to focus attention on breast cancer, both medically and socially, to raise awareness, to inform, and to sensitize.
