Interview with patient representatives: “Achieving the best together”

Initiated by the Quality Circle of the NCT Heidelberg, the Patient Advisory Board was founded ten years ago to address the concerns of patients. The Patient Advisory Board is now an established interest group whose perspective is incorporated into many decisions. In 2023, patient participation was further strengthened as part of the NCT expansion and the Patient Research Council NCT Heidelberg was founded.
In this interview, Imke Veit-Schirmer, Spokesperson of the Patient Advisory Board NCT Heidelberg, and Cindy Körner, Spokesperson of the Patient Research Council NCT Heidelberg, talk about their work. For example, they talk about what their tasks are, what the biggest challenge of their work is and what motivates them to continue their demanding voluntary work.
