Online Event on July 23: “Liquid Biopsy – Information About Cancer from the Blood” - Krebsinformationsdienst (Cancer Information Service)

Liquid biopsy is a modern technique in cancer medicine that allows for the detection of cancer characteristics by analyzing a blood sample (or other bodily fluids, such as urine). This method can, for example, help in selecting an appropriate treatment, assessing the risk of recurrence, evaluating the success of a treatment, or detecting changes in the disease early on during the course of treatment. Research is also underway to use liquid biopsy for early cancer detection in the future. Thanks to advances in recent years, liquid biopsy is already being used clinically in select situations and can contribute to supporting medical decision-making. However, further research is still needed for other situations.
This free event hosted by the Cancer Information Service is aimed at cancer patients, their relatives and people in their social circles, as well as anyone else interested.
