NCT has an interdisciplinary tumor outpatient clinic with a central day care unit. The central point of contact is the Oncology Outpatient Clinic. Here, patients can make an appointment for the respective tumor consultation session, in order to clarify suspected cancer symptoms or receive a second or even third opinion. For each patient, the physicians consult with colleagues and experts from the fields of research, care, and counseling on an interdisciplinary basis, thus enabling the optimum treatment for the individual patient to be found.

The close collaboration between hospital departments and basic research groups offers the possibility of novel therapeutic approaches within the context of clinical trials.
