KID online event on October 9: “Hospice work and palliative care in the final stages of life”

If advanced cancer is incurable, it is referred to as a palliative situation. Effective treatment can often stabilize the disease to such an extent that those affected can lead a largely normal life for a longer period of time. However, if the disease continues to progress, close care is important to alleviate symptoms, enable cancer patients to live as independently as possible with a good quality of life, and support their relatives. The event organized by the Cancer Information Service (KID) focuses on the final stage of life and highlights the care structures available. What options are available in the outpatient and (partially) inpatient sectors, and what framework conditions need to be taken into account? In addition to specific case studies, helpful contacts and points of contact will be provided.
The online event is aimed at cancer patients, their relatives, and anyone interested in the topic. The event will be held in German.
