KID online event on May 20: Fatigue - what to do about tiredness and exhaustion

Cancer takes its toll. Those affected have to come to terms with the diagnosis and cope with therapies both physically and mentally. Most people therefore consider fatigue and exhaustion during this time and afterwards to be completely normal. But what can you do if the lack of energy and drive becomes more and more severe and does not improve even with sleep, rest and restorative measures, making it almost impossible to cope with everyday life? Experts refer to this particularly severe form of exhaustion as fatigue, from the French word for tiredness, pronounced “fatieg”. What are the symptoms and causes? How is fatigue diagnosed and what options are there for treating fatigue?

The Cancer Information Service (KID) therefore invites cancer patients, their relatives and anyone interested in the topic to the online event “Fatigue - what to do about tiredness and exhaustion” on May 20, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm.
