Our group/department has:

  • Identified a novel predictive biomarker for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (Claus et al. JCO 2012)

  • Identified a DNA methylation based signature that predicts survival in HPV related oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinomas (Kostareli et al JCI 2013)

  • Identified and characterized together with Dr Pfister’s group and other international collaborators H3.3 mutations in pediatric glioblastomas (Schwartzentruber et al. Nature, 2012; Schwartzentruber et al. Cancer Cell 2012; Sturm et al Cancer Cell 2012, Bender et al Cancer Cell, 2013)

  • Provided the first integrative genome-wide analysis of genetic, epigenetic and transcriptomic data in early onset prostate cancer (Weischenfeldt et al. 2013).
