This declaration of accessibility applies to the website of the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg, accessible at: www.nct-heidelberg.de. The NCT Heidelberg is a joint institution of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) and the German Cancer Aid (DKH).
The NCT Heidelberg endeavors to make the website www.nct-heidelberg.de accessible in accordance with the national legal provisions for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council. The legal basis is the Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities Act ("Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz BGG") and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance ("Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung BITV") in their currently valid version.
As part of an internal accessibility check, however, it was found that the website does not yet guarantee complete accessibility. The NCT Heidelberg is therefore working hard to further improve the barrier-free design of its website. We are continuously working on improvements.

- No plain language text or a sign language page is provided yet. This will be implemented as soon as possible.
- Some videos are not fully voiced / subtitled. We are working to improve this further.
- Not all images contain the correct alternative text. If we take note of this when editing texts and images, we will adjust the alternative texts afterwards.
